Our Story

A family owned and operated business in Greenwood Mall for over 43 years, Country Store has been a local staple serving Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. In 1978, Jean Moore (my Mom) opened the store for the George Wade family and in 1979, I joined her and by 1999 the generation continued with my daughters joining the team.  Our Assistant Manager has been working with me since 1984 along with many employees for over 10 years.  First as bulk foods and vitamins, the store continued to grow by adding a selection of products that embrace a healthy lifestyle.  Today you can pamper yourself in Health & Beauty, find something adorable in Baby & Toddler, cook with confidence from Gourmet Kitchen and find the perfect addition in Gift & Home Décor.  We are committed to delivering premium products that are environmentally friendly.  We also feature a selection of local, Maritime and made in Canada products. We pride ourselves on product knowledge and customer service.
